Senior Project Engineer/Designated Project Engineer (Systems/Signalling)

6 month contract
A 6 month contract has arisen for a SPE/DPE within rail signalling for one of the largest rail maintenance and construction services providers in the UK. The role is a mix of remote and working from their flagship Manchester office. The main focus of this position is to manage the construction and design for railway signalling projects.
Main Scope of Works
– Managing signalling engineering schemes
– Complete management of design and construction activities for all related schemes
– Ensure projects and engineering activities are managed effectively to meet programme requirements and are cost effective, without compromising quality
– Deliver project management advice for all construction/design related activities
-Managing safety compliance to ensure an adequate environment for all
Requirements For The Role
– Solid understanding or railway signalling design and construction
-Strong project management & signalling engineering experience
– Capability to review signalling construction designs for rail
– Strong background in testing and commission as well as site supervision of railway resignalling schemes.
– Railway background
– Strong technical understanding of railway infrastructure and signalling/systems
